Mandevilla Sun Parasol 'Stars and Stripes' p.p.

Detailed Description

Mandevilla Sun Parasol® ‘Stars and Stripes’ p.p. ™
Voted the favorite new flowering plant at last year’s Tropical Plant Exhibition, Mandevilla 'Stars and Stripes' ™ has red star-shaped blossoms with white stripes through the center of each of the 5 petals. The prolific striped flowers bloom from May until frost and are a favorite for hummingbirds. Mandevillas are natural climbers and the deep green, shiny foliage reaches 6-8’ tall so it’s best grown on a trellis or arbor. Grow in full sun and well-drained soil. Hardy in zones 9-11. Northern gardeners can grow mandevilla as an annual, or bring it inside once the temperatures reach 40°F. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks during the growing season to encourage continual blooming.

Hardy Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.

Full sun, grows to 4+' in container, minimum temperature indoors 60°, blooms in spring, summer and fall.
