Detailed Description

Citrus reticulata ‘Gold Nugget’ p.p.
Citruses make wonderful container plants and this new mandarin ’Gold Nugget’ is one of the best. Developed at the University of California, 'Gold Nugget’ was selected because of its seedless, sweet fruit as well as its late ripening habit (Feb-June) and its ability to hold well on the tree. No other mandarin has all of these benefits. The name ‘Gold Nugget’ describes the fruit. At maturity it has a bright orange, easy-peel rind and the delicious fruit measures 2” high x 2.5” wide. Like all citrus, ‘Gold Nugget’ has sweetly perfumed flowers. The tree is medium-sized and fairly vigorous. Grow in full sun and well-drained soil. We are selling ‘true-to-name’ grafted plants that will bloom sooner.

Hardy Zone 9 and higher for outdoors.

Full sun, grows to 1-3' in container, minimum temperature indoors 50°, blooms in spring.

Fragrant!

We are sorry, due to agricultural regulations, citrus cannot be shipped to TX, FL, AZ, CA.
